Abstract
This study is aimed at reconceptualizing the teaching of history in general education schools based on modern pedagogical technologies, wherein the philosophical, psychological, and didactic components of education are analyzed in an integrated and systematic manner. Within the scope of the research, a multi-stage model for mastering historical knowledge is developed based on the synthesis of the competency-based approach, constructivism, and cognitive development theories. In addition, the epistemological foundations of historical thinking—specifically the dialectical relationships between facts, interpretation, and narrative—are critically examined.
